Privacy Policy

Deftly for iOS · Last updated May 22, 2026

Deftly is built to respect your privacy completely. The short version: Deftly does not collect any data about you — none at all.

Information we collect

None. Deftly does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. The app has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login.

How the word list works

So that new words can be added without requiring an app update, Deftly downloads its word list from a single fixed file hosted online. This is an ordinary content download. No account, identifier, location, or usage information is sent with the request, and nothing about you is collected from it. Once downloaded, the list is stored on your device, so the app continues to work even with no connection.

No tracking or advertising

Deftly contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking technologies, and no third-party software development kits of any kind.

The home-screen widget

The widget chooses the word of the day on your device using a fixed calculation based only on the calendar date. Nothing about that selection leaves your device or is reported anywhere.

Children's privacy

Deftly is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Because the app collects no data, any change is expected to be minor.
